“I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy…”
*baby whinges. baby rubs his eyes*
ok, well if you can stay downstairs and be quiet while I put the baby to sleep, then you can have my undivided attention and we can do whatever you want
“I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy…”
well then just be quiet for five minutes, so I can put the baby to sleep
“No no NO my wake him up”
but if you give me a minute’s peace, you can have a whole hour
“I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy I want YOU Mummy…”
I. Sympathise.
SO very much. x
Oh I know just what you mean! Love the pic at the end. Great post 🙂
Thanks, pals. 🙂
I know that feeling, BG is the same. I come mummy, I put in bin, I wash hands, me cook too……
Oh dear! Does this happen a lot? At least you can laugh about it. NIce little picture bookends 🙂
A lot? It’s the general theme to my days! Toddler would love to always have my undivided attention, but he can’t grasp the concept that he gets it when the baby is asleep. A couple of weeks ago we were playing beautifully with my old dolls house at my parents’, baby asleep in the same room. Toddler creeps over and pokes him until he wakes up. WHY??? Dolls house stuff back in the box, attention shared again.
But lots of the time it works well. :S
Oh dear is this what I have to look forward come April? Lol
It wasn’t so bad for the first few months, as the baby slept in the sling, so I’d just pop him in and we’d get on with stuff. It’s now that I put him down for naps that it’s a problem. But for all the jealous moments, there are lots of loving moments too, and I can see it getting better as they can play together.
LOL!!! Oh boy, do I recognise that scenario –
