My son has some beautiful toys (ok, he has plenty of plastic crap too, but he does have a few lovely things!). When he plays with them, they can get a bit battered and bruised; a once-pristine gift ends up with a few battle scars.
But even though his wooden dog doesn’t look as shiny and new as it once did, I’m glad that it’s well used. If we’d kept it looking perfect, we wouldn’t have had walks like this.
I should add that again I was inspired by Spudballoo’s guest post on Red Ted Art. Her posts are full of simple tips to help you take better photos. This photo wouldn’t look nearly as good if I hadn’t read those posts! So many thanks to Spudballoo and Maggy at Red Ted Art.

Oh we love well loved toys! And so cute that it gets to go out on proper walkies! Love the photo and pleased to bits that Spud’s photo tips are helping people take great shots (I certainly think mine have improved since knowing Spud)!!
Yay all round!

I know, it’s lovely: “I take my doggy for a walk”! I’m gutted that it’s getting dark so early in the evenings at the moment, as ‘taking the dog for a walk’ was a great way to keep him occupied before tea time and tire him out for bed.
Oh he’s super isn’t he!! Lovely shot, works brilliantly against the green background. And thx so such kind comments, much appreciated. X
No worries, it’s all true. Those posts have helped my photos a lot. I need some bigger backgrounds though – that one was three sheets of A4 haphazardly fitted together. I wonder if my family will let me set up a mini-studio area in front of the patio doors?
I have got really into photography again since I started my blog. Great photo and recommendations here. I can also recommend Sticky Fingers The gallery which you prob know about already and Mocha Beanie Mummy has a photo blog http://cosmicgirliephotography.com/

Hi Penny, yes I love the Gallery and do it every week. You can see my previous entries in the ‘Gallery’ category on the right. I’ve found loads of great blogs through taking part.
You might also like PhotoPuddle if you’re getting into photography (not sure if she’s on my blogroll, but if not then she will be this afternoon!).
